The Mandalorian Mercs/Haaranovor Clan

Haaranovor Clan is Alabama's own detachment of the Mandalorian Mercs, an international costuming club based around Mandalorians, the Star Wars universe's finest warriors. Following in the footsteps of her sister clubs such as the 501st Legion and the Rebel Legion, the Mandalorian Mercs gear up to look cool, raise money for charity, and try to make not only themselves --- but everyone else --- smile in the process. Magic City Con is the Haaranovor Clan's big-time home con, and they plan to be a big part of the Magic City Con landscape for years to come!

Michele Atwood, Author

Fess up. If you could quit your job, pull your kids out of school, sell your house, and say goodby to your friends, you'd move to the doorstep of Walt Disney World, in a heartbeat. But who can do that? Scott and Michele Atwood did. And in doing so they built a Disney business. Here's how!

From cold, snowy Michigan, Michele Atwood tried to run her popular Disney site, The Main Street Mouse. It wasn't easy. All the action was many hundreds of miles away, in Orlando. Her dream --- her Disney dream --- was to earn enough money from The Main Street Mouse to support her family. But from Michigan? No way.

So she shut down the site and got a real job. Except...she didn't! If Disney couldn't come to her, she'd go to it. She persuaded her husband, Scott, that it made perfect sense to pull up stakes and rent a house near Disney World, a house they'd never seen, and count on the website to pay the bills. After some difficult times, Florida began to feel like home, and The Main Street Mouse became one of the biggest, most successful Disney fan sites in the world.

...And they blogged happily ever after!

The Royal Manticoran Navy

It all started in 2007, when two friends got together to talk about the Honor Harrington series written by David Weber. They wanted to honor the strong character driven story, set in a great universe, but soon discovered that no such fan organization existed. After a year of hard work and dedication, the ground work was laid for The Royal Manticoran Navy Fan Association. By 2009, the newly formed fan association had opened a dialogue with Ad Astra. Later that year, our First Space Lord was able to meet with David Weber and present him with our ideas for the organization. The end result: The Royal Manticoran Navy: The Official Honor Harrington Fan Association was born in February 2011.

The Royal Manticoran Navy is the fan association for Honor Harrington and the Honorverse. It is the mission of The Royal Manticoran Navy to bring an enjoyable and enlightening experience to fans of David Weber's seminal series about Honor Harrington. We will do this by:

- Being primarily focused on providing a fun experience to all the members, from the newest to the longest serving.

- Providing opportunities to lead, to serve, and to learn about the Honorverse, science, and space exploration.

- Providing a fandom venue that is professional, cooperative, and collaborative.

- Giving back to the greater community.

- Providing an outlet for fans to cosplay and role-play in the Honorverse.

The Deucecast Movie Show

Michael Nipp...Flashy, stylish, and proud of the Oregon Ducks. Mikey is a huge Star Wars fan, crossed with a bit of Star Trek. He also loves independent movies and can handle a foreign film or two, and even a documentary, as long as it's entertaining. He's been watching films as long as he can remember and has an affinity for all things Kevin Costner and Nic Cage.

David Dollar...Short, stocky, and a head of thick hair, David or D$ as he's commonly known by those who are commonly, has been watching films since he was a child, with his first two movies he remembers being "The Shining" and "The Muppet Movie", both at the drive in theater. With HBO and Showtime on the TV in his room in junior high, plus a VCR able to record 3 movies per tape (on lenghtened play, natch), and all through college -- and even now, movies are a huge hobby. D$ estimates he's seen about 2400 movies in his life, and has a ranking of 500 that he updates yearly. He is also a Disney Travel Planner, and writes for a blogsite. Ask him about Dewayne "The Rock" Johnson and he will regale  you with tales of his undying love for him.

Jacob "PINKY" Pinkerton...The youngest by far on the show, he's the young voice to the elder statesmen of everyone else. Pinky joined the cast in 2014 and has used the show to hive him the unneeded excuse to watch as many movies as possible. Currently a college student in film study, he is working on his first short film this year and would love to have Emma Watson in it. He may be a little obsessed with her.
