Phillip Glasser

Phillip Glasser was the little boy who gave Fievel his voice. Glasser's parents got him into acting early, and Don Bluth discovered him when overhearing the child auditioning for an Oscar-Meyer commercial.

Landing the part of Fievel was his big break, though voicing Fievel must not have been an easy task for the then-seven year old; Fievel's screams and his crying had to be done through method acting, they couldn't be faked. However, the rest of the cast was very supportive of him.

Glasser says he enjoyed voicing Fievel much better in the more light-hearted sequel Fievel Goes West. He also had a very nice singing voice as can be heard on the Fievel and Friends musical album.

Glasser would land other roles throughout his childhood and teenage years, voicing on A Troll in Central Park, Bebe's Kids, The Secret of NIMH II and an episode of Tiny Toon Adventures and also landing minor live action roles on Full House, Boy Meets World and Sabrina the Teenage Witch among others, and was a regular on the show Hang Time.

These days, the now 30-something Phillip Glasser has taken to producing movies, such as Kickin' it Old School, Endure and Sedona.

John Pomeroy

In 1973, John Pomeroy began working at the Walt Disney Company as a background artist, and after only a short year he was grateful to earn the role of full animator to work on Winnie the Pooh and Tigger Too—a beloved classic that went on to earn an Academy Award Nomination.

During his time at Disney, he met fellow animators Don Bluth and Gary Goldman. They hit it off almost immediately and set to work on an independent short film entitled, Banjo the Woodpile Cat. That labor of love paved the way for John, Bluth, Goldman, and several other Disney animators to form Don Bluth Productions—which, later, became Bluth Group. Together, they went on to produce The Secret of NIMH (1982), as well as the animation for the laserdisc video games Space Ace and Dragon’s Lair—which was most recently highlighted in Netflix’s Stranger Things.
In 1986, he worked as the directing animator and producer on An American Tail and, shortly thereafter, The Land Before Time, before he moved back to America in 1989 to form a new U.S. wing of Bluth Group, which eventually became Sullivan Bluth Studios.
When Sullivan Bluth Studios closed in 1995, he returned to Disney to work as the supervising animator on Pocahontas, where he also designed and led a crew of fourteen animators to create the character of John Smith.
John was also a supervising animator for Fantasia 2000, and an animator for Treasure Planet, Curious George, The Simpsons Movie. He was the lead character designer for Milo Thatch on Atlantis: The Lost Empire.
Outside of illustration and animation, John is a storyboard artist, he loves to sculpt, and has created busts that animated film artists use to visualize 3-D character models. He is also a painter of historical events and a builder of historic weapons that are actually used as props in Hollywood movies. Additionally, he is an oil painter, portrait artist by commission, lecturer, and college professor.

Clinton Hobart

Clinton T. Hobart is a Fine Artist and Licensed Disney Fine Artist. He creates original oil paintings of a wide variety of subjects ranging from classical subject matter such as fruit and eggshells to more modern subjects such as Mickey Mouse and Doritos. Even his Disney paintings are technically still-lifes, because he works from real objects in front of him. If he cannot find the objects he desires to paint he frequently will build elaborate "Sets" to work from. For his painting of the tower from the Disney movie Tangled he constructed a four foot tall replica of it made out of stone, mortar, cardboard, plaster and wood. The sculpture has since become as popular as the actual painting.

In addition to painting for Disney, Hobart also paints still-lifes, portraits, cosplay paintings, and ocean waves. He has been featured on NBC News, FOX News, The CW, ABC News, and American Artist magazine. He appeared on CBS News with Scott Pelle after a Chinese company sold forged copies of his paintings online. Afterward, the Huffington Post mentioned the story in an article stating that Clinton was part of a “sting operation.” Hobart’s painting “A Portrait of Doritos”  is in the private collection of actor Michael Rooker from Guardians Of The Galaxy and The Walking Dead.

In fact, it suits him to be different. He am different. His music is different.
If you like his music, you're probably different too. Marc wants to help you to confidently be different. If you like Celtic music and you're a Geek, then raise your Celtic Geek flag and waive it proudly. Because his music is about being kind and recognizing that we all are different. It's about celebrating those differences even if we disagree!
We are so excited to have Marc join us this year and we look forward to sharing a pint and watching his performance!

OFFICIAL MAGIC CITY CON PHOTOGRAPHER

Elisear Wright

Our Official Photographer for MCC2021 is Eli Wright of Cubster Photography! You can PM Eli to schedule shoots during MCC2021 today!

“My name is Eli. and I am known as Cubster “

Born and raised in Havana, Cuba, I immigrated to the United States in 2003 with my family. I have been doing photography since 2014 and in 2017, I discovered the world of cosplay which I never knew existed. Since I've always enjoyed superheroes and science fiction movies, this opened a whole new world for me as I watched my favorite characters come to life. I had found my nitch. Since, I have been published in several cosplay Magazines, such as Cosplayzine and Cosplay Realm Magazine among other online publications, along with making a Guest appearance on several in state and out of state conventions. I also have served as cosplay judge, as I also partake in the cosplay and props making.

Without a doubt, photography is my passion. I enjoy every aspect of photography from conception to session and putting my creative touches on the final image during post-production. From practical effects to post editing effects, my photography has a way to stand out and I try to create new ideas to keep it as unpredictable and with a fresh look for my fans and clients while bringing each cosplay to life.

I love being able to inspire and mentor others to follow their dreams and passions. I feel as though I'm a teacher or mentor at heart and I love that I can pass on the knowledge I've gained through experience to others while doing what I love, create unique, one-of-a-kind art through photography. My number one priority when photographing anyone but especially a cosplayer is to be supportive, spread body positivity, be engaging and uplifting, make them feel comfortable while reassuring them that they look fantastic which helps to boost their self-esteem and make sure they're happy with all aspects of their session.
